Exclude CASH from rebalance/asset allocations?

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby chancee » Sat Dec 25, 2010 6:30 pm

I'm trying to rebalance my portfolio against my target portfolio, but most of my accounts currently hold a significant amount of cash. I only want to rebalance/compare my INVESTMENTS against the target portfolio. All of the cash, since it's considered an asset, is skewing my re-balancing.

Even if the majority of my portfolio is in cash, I still want to be able to calculate that what's invested is fitting my target allocation. Is there a way to exclude the cash from the process? Thanks.

Hi chancee,

Sorry, this is not an option for this report. If you wanted, you could temporarily move your cash out of your sub-portfolio, and run the report. You could also do something like this:

Code: Select all
- Master Portfolio
  - My Account
    - <cash investment>
    - Account Holdings
      - <held investments>

and then run your report on the "Account Holdings".
Thanks,
Mark
