How do I record accrued interest not yet received for a bond

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi again Mark,

How do I record accrued interest for a bond? I have a Queensland Treasury which has a certain amount of accrued interest which I haven't yet received. In my performance report I can see the market value of my bond (market price X number) but I'd also like to track the accrued interest which is owing to me but I have not yet received.

Apologies again for bombarding you with questions but your software and help are great!

Kind regards,

Tom.

Hello Tom,

You do not "record" accrued interest as a transaction, but you can let Fund Manager calculate it for you. Edit the investment properties of your bond, and look at the "Income" tab. Set the income properties for the bond, and then Fund Manager can calculate your accrued interest for you. To have accrued interest included on your Portfolio Performance report, turn on the option "Options / Report Preferences... / Portfolio Performance / Include Accrued Interest".
Thanks,
Mark
