Investment Limit in Advisor Ed

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi again Mark

so I know there is a 50,000 investment limit per portfolio in the Advisor edition. I have all my client subportfolios organized under a master portfolio (my RIA). Is the 50,000 limit for the total of all the posrtfolios or is it per sub portfolio?

Thanks

Hi paulk,

The 50,000 limit is for the total of all sub-portfolios. Basically, you can only have this many investments open at once, no matter what sub-portfolio they are in. Are you concerned about hitting this limit?
Thanks,
Mark

I imagine I should be ok considering I have a relatively small RIA practice. I am sure there are others using the software who are more likely to hit the limit than I am and if they aren't concerned I suppose I shouldn;t be. It only struck me as worth asking because I never want to have to switch software again now that I've decided on using FM.

Thanks for your quick response and fine product.
