New to reconciling and cash/CD problem

I am having difficulty with the reconciliation feature. The problem seems to stem from CD that have matured, and subsequently been converted to cash, and then the cash reinvested. Somehow when I download the transactions, the final transaction that shows the CD redemed is not showing. If I reconcile by "selling" the CD again, I have too much cash.

What trick am I missing?

Hi Nancy,

When your CD matures, you should have a sell of the CD recorded in the CD investment, and a purchase of cash in the cash investment. If this is not recorded, you can correct it manually using the data register. In the Data Register, set the Data Type to "Investments (all)", and make sure you have a sell of your CD, and a purchase of the same amount into your cash investment.
