Distribution (Dividends) to be received to Cash

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I have made a Cash account a default, but I can't recall when I receive stock dividends paid to the cash account, how I can automatically have the dividend go to the default account.
How to I structure the investment, or portfolio to make the transaction update Cash, and record the dividend to the investment?

Regards
Jack

Hi Jack,

Make sure you have the cash investment assigned as your default cash account under the properties of your sub-portfolio. Once you have the default cash account assigned, anytime you enter, import, or retrieve transactions, the money will automatically be added to, or removed from the default cash account. You cannot retroactively have the money added/removed in the cash account for transactions that are already recorded. Only transactions recorded while the default cash account is assigned will have their monies transferred.
Thanks,
Mark
