No "File/Restore" Command

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I'm using using unlicensed evaluation Personal Version 11.0. I have a "File / Backup" command, but there is no "File / Restore" command available. It's nowhere to be found as opposed to there, but "grayed-out". Should that command be there?

Hi Ed Cavalier,

Yes, it should. This is a bug in 11.0. On the Portfolio Editor window, the "File / Restore..." command is missing. If you switch to a Report or Graph window, the command is there. We will have this fixed for 11.1.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark. Too bad I didn't click on a diffferent window before posting the question! I did search the forum, but failed to find anything.

So far, I like your program better than Quicken or Investment Account Manager 2.0.

I'm struggling with a desire to get all 20 years of data out of my current program, TRX 5.0, into FM. (As opposed to just picking-up from 1/1/2011 or so.) TRX 5.0 has served me well for many years. It's creator, Advisex Software, disappeared a long time ago, and it's frozen in the Win95 era. It won't run in a Windows 64 bit OS and it's "download from the Internet" capabilities died many years ago.

Hi Ed,

Yes, getting all your historical data in can sometimes be time consuming. Hopefully your old program has some sort of standard export capability that you can use to import into Fund Manager.
Thanks,
Mark
