I have used FM for over 15 years. I have always had to enter a 4 digit security code in order to open FM on my computer. All of a sudden, this disappeared and FM opens when I click on the desktop icon. I need the security feature on my computer in case a housekeeper/dogsitter using the PC tries to open FM. How do I reinitiate this feature?

To password protect your data in Fund Manager you can assign a password to your investment files. Right mouse click on any investment, and choose "Investment Properties..." and go to the "Password" tab. Here you can assign a password, and choose the option to apply it to all your open investments.
