Transfer betw. acc. in dif. curencies

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I have 2 sub-portofolios one in € and the other in $, in those sub-portofolios I have a cash investment that is my default cash acc. for the subportofolio. How can I transfert amounts from one to the other, in fact a forex operation between 2 accounts? The "transfer between" does not allow me because it is in diferent currencies.
Thanks

Hi rsabbah,

You can record a sell or transfer out in the first cash account, and a buy or transfer in into the second cash account. If you sell 500 euros, and buy 1,000 dollars, you have to enter these with the appropriate amounts. The Transfer Between wizard doesn't support moving between investments of different currencies, and you really don't need to use that here anyway since these are cash accounts. The Transfer Between wizard is designed more for investments, where you need to maintain the cost basis date/value of all the transferred shares.
Thanks,
Mark
