Columns messed up after shift of one column

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Charles Robinson » Mon Feb 15, 2010 2:55 am

After I moved one column to the far right in Portfolio Editor, some columns are messed up. Servers are listed under First Transaction, Dates are listed under OOP Current %Gain, etc. The problem can be resolved by restarting the application, but it is still annoying. I hope you can fix it in a future update.

Hi Charles Robinson,

Thanks for the bug report. I can see it is messed up. What version of Fund Manager are you using? Can you reproduce this problem? If so, can you e-mail me a backup file using "File / Backup..." and then give me instructions on exactly how to reproduce it? For example, how are you moving the column? Are you dragging/dropping, or are you using the "View / List Columns..." dialog? If you can send me a backup, and specific instructions, hopefully I can reproduce the problem here, and then we'll be able to fix it.
Thanks,
Mark

My version numbers are 10.4, 414, 137.

The problem can be reproduced like this:
1. drag&drop one or more columns around in Portfolio A
2. select a different portfolio on the left, say, Portfolio B
3. now, the column titles and column contents do not match. the column titles remain in the same order as in Portfolio A, but the column contents are displayed in the previous order of Portfolio B.

Edit to initial post: The problem can also be solved temporarily by closing an re-opening the Portfolio Editor. No app restart required.

If you still require a backup file, please let me know your e-mail address.

Hi Charles Robinson,

Thanks for the tip, I was able to reproduce the problem here with this help. We'll get that fixed for the next release.
Thanks,
Mark
