I called the number 800-544-7595 and was able to get an email address where I was able to send a request for access to their new API. Hopefully they will choose to give us access. I will of course keep you posted.
Spoke with my Fidelity rep just now. He is not technical, but he wrote down the details (as we know them) of the problem, and will convey it to the technical teams. I emphasized the importance of all the end-of-year planning that requires accurate and timely knowledge of the portfolio.
My Fidelity rep just emailed me with the tech team’s response : ‘Richard: Per our conversation earlier, this is the reply I received. “We are moving away from the .ofx data format. This end investor should be able to use .csv file format to retrieve transactions data.” I hope it helps.’

Thanks again to everyone who has contacted Fidelity. We have been contacted via email and will have a meeting tomorrow about getting Fund Manager onto their new FDX API. This is very positive.

I too contacted my Fidelity advisor, requesting some action on their part.

Converting Fidelity CSV to FundManager csv for import is a bit clunky. An alternate way: I pasted the fidelity download csv to Grok and asked it to convert to FundManager compatble QIF format. This works fine.

Just an update to the community... I had a meeting with Fidelity's team today. It was a very good start, and we're moving forward to try and get FM access again to their FDX interface. It was just an initial meeting, and not all the details have been discussed, but I'm hopeful. I'll post updates here as they become available. As a reminder, we have some "importing CSV" workaround instructions here. The CSV import is a bit cumbersome, and apparently Grok is capable of converting the downloaded CSV file into QIF, which would be easier if that works for you.

I've also intervened with Fidelity management - for whatever that's worth. On another matter, the csv tool yields lots of errors (many activity types not mapped); also Grok link just links to itself.

It is just linking to the post on this same page by vaidya2010 who mentions how he did it.

Mark: I have a python script that takes the fidelity csv file and converts it to a qif file. I inspected the qif file and the transaction types and numerical information appear correctly. When I import the qif file for the portfolio it is intended, the only way I can get it to import is by saying create new investments as needed. But all of the transactions are for securities within that portfolio. I don't know what might be happening, although I do believe I am closer using the qif file than the csv import approach.
I do hope Fidelity reconsiders and allows FM to use the FDX servers.

Hi sgurd4oilop,
When importing QIF files, Fund Manager matches investments based on the name investment property and the name in the importing file. If you look in the .QIF file, there will be something like this:
D7/8/2025 NBuy YIDS Federal Income I5.125 Q4896.201 T25000.00 ^
The "Y" field shows the name, so in this case, this transaction would match up with an investment that has the "Name" property of:
IDS Federal Income
So, edit your investment names to match, or edit the QIF to have the names in your investments, and then they should import properly.

So it matches on name and not symbol, correct?

That is correct, QIF is unique in this way...

Maybe some alternate broker needs to be considered if Fidelity fails to resolved the issue. I'm very upset, as this was poor timing. They should have implemented the change after Jan 2026.
I have some other issues, namely privacy and release of personal data w/o my knowledge, so a move could be in the offing.
Any recommendation or experience with other broker?
