Alphabetical Order

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Is there any way I can automatically reset my sub-portfolios so they can be in alphabetical order?

Right now I have Master Portfolio and a sub portfolio named Clients. Within the Clients portfolio I have each client with their own sub portfolio so it will read Master Portfolio- Clients- John Doe. Is there anyway to have all my clients listed alphabetically without manually doing it?

Thanks

Hi booparris06,

Sub-portfolios are listed in alphabetical order automatically. It may sometimes be temporarily out of order, like right after you add a sub-portfolio. If you close and re-open the Portfolio Editor that should make sure you're seeing everything in alphabetical order.
Thanks,
Mark

I have quite a few linked accounts, for which sorting the portfolio order is important. Sometimes I don't necessarily want the sub-portfolios sorted in alphabetic order.

I found a quick and easy way to see the portfolio in the order I want: Simply preface the portfolio name with a 1, 2, 3, etc.. Fund Manager then sorts on the number, and not the name. So, booparris06, you can rename your clients names with "1. John Smith", "2. John Doe", "3. John Akers" and the sort order will be Smith before Doe before Akers. Hope this helps...
