Hi Bill,

You can open multiple copies of the sample investments, so that you get
enough investments open to fill a full page. You can then fax this to
us, and I will try to reproduce it. Since this only happens on your HP
printer I believe it is most likely due to a printer driver problem, that
we won't be able to fix. We have a few printers, and I will try to
reproduce the bug on them with the same settings that you're using once you fax
us the example. If we do decide that it is a printer driver problem, you
might want to report this to HP, so they can try and get it fixed in your
printer driver, but we'll see if I can reproduce it first.

Thanks,
Mark

: Mark,

: I have down loaded the latest driver for my HP printer and unfortunately it did not help. I then tried to print other types of reports to see if there was a problem. They all printed completely. The problem appears to be isolated to custom reports which use the multi time period structure.
:

: Unfortunately the sample files which you suggested that I try to print do not contain enough investments to fill the more than one page which is requried for the problem to occur. It occurs only on full pages.

: If you have some other suggestions I am willing to try them.

: Bill

:
: : Hi Bill,

: : The samples are located in the "Samples" sub-directory underneath wherever you
: : have Fund Manager installed. Since you don't see the problem on another
: : printer this would lead me to believe it is due to a printer driver problem
: : with your HP printer. You might check on HP's web site to see if you can
: : download an updated driver for your printer?

: : Thanks,
: : Mark

: : : Mark,

: : : The report I am trying to print was developed as a custom report with investment end valuations as the columns for each period. I have also found this occurs in portrait mode as well as landscape. I did try it on another computer, Panasonic, and did not have the same problem as on the HP.
: : : Where are the sample protfolio's located in FM?

: : : Bill

: : : : : : : Mark,

: : : : : This report was not possible on FM5 because it is one of the Multi period reports. I cannot fax the report to you because of the information it contains but I will try to describe it more clearly

: : : : : 1. The first column is a list of investments
: : : : : 2. There are five numerical columns of end of period values, one column for each of five years
: : : : : 3. The first column of investment names always prints completely to the bottom of the prescribed length of the page.
: : : : : 4. The numerical columns print properly until they get to the last 1 and 1/2 rows which do not print.
: : : : : 5. This does not occur on the final page of the report, only on the full pages prior to the final page.
: : : : : 6. I am printing these in landscape mode with a 1" bottom margin on 8 1/2 x 11 paper on an HP printer.

: : : : : Thank you,

: : : : : Bill Putt

: : : : :
: : : : : : : Mark,

: : : : : : : I am using FM 6.0 and trying to print a multipage report in landscape. Although the first column of row identifiers prints fine, the last 1 and 1/2 rows of the numerical columns do not print. This is regardless of how much of a bottom margin I specify. I have specified a 1" bottom margin. This does not happen on the last page, only on the full pages.

: : : : : : : Do you have any suggestions ?

: : : : : : : Thank you,

: : : : : : : Bill Putt

: : : : : : Hi Bill,

: : : : : : Did you use to print this report in FM5 okay? What type of report is it?
: : : : : : Do you mean that all of the rows print, but the last 1 and a half rows don't
: : : : : : print? Do you think you could fax me a copy of the printout? It might be
: : : : : : easier to understand. If so, our fax is 480-705-9219.

: : : : : : Thanks,
: : : : : : Mark

: : : : Hi Bill,

: : : : Thanks, I understand better now. What report type is this? Does it happen
: : : : with all report types? Can you reproduce this with one of the sample
: : : : portfolios that ships with FM, so that you could fax that to me? Do you
: : : : have access to another printer, to try and take the printer/driver out of
: : : : the equation?

: : : : Thanks,
