: : : I recently added a new stock to my portfolio. At the top of the graph window on yields line all yields show NA. What could be the problem? Yields is checked on the View menu. The rest of my investments in the portfolio show percentages.

: : Hi Bill,
: : In order to calculate a yield, FM must have a price point for the beginning
: : and ending of the yield term. If you don't have a price history recorded,
: : FM may not have these prices. You may want to retrieve historical prices.
: : You can also adjust the flexibility FM uses in interpolating a beginning
: : price when you don't have one recorded on the exact date. See "Yields/
: : Interpolation Range...". For more on yield calculations search for "yield
: : calculations" in the online help.

: : Thanks,

: I purchased this stock on 10/29/01 and the "gph" shows N.A. I had prices from 10/29 to the present. After reading your comments I added a price for 10/26. I still get no yield % at gph. I realize there will be no percentages for the longer periods.

Hi Bill,
The problem may be too large of an 'annualized' yield. FM can only report
up to 100,000 % gain. If you have a sizeable gain in a very short period,
this can come out to a very large annualized yield. You could test to see
if this is the problem by temporarily recording a price for the ending
date that is closer to the price at the beginning of the period.

Thanks,
Mark
