: Hi Mark.

: I had a hard drive crash and reformatted. While I had a recent backup of FM, I lost my registry settings. I guess I'll have to redefine my asset classes, etc.

: However, there's a different problem. I originally had FM installed to c:\winstuff\fund manager. After reformatting, I decided to install to c:\stuff\fund manager. I reinstalled FM, then overwrote with my backed up "mydata". Everything works, except I get "portfolio autosave failed" when exiting. Does this mean I'm not saving previous day's data, and can it be fixed?

:
: Thanks as always.

Hi Kim,
This means your portfolio file itself (*.mm4) is not getting saved. The
investment files (*.dat) would still get saved. You might check that your
portfolio file isn't marked as "Read-Only". You can check it by looking
at the properties of this file in Windows Explorer.

Thanks,
Mark
