Hi Alfred,
Is the cash account assigned as the default cash account under:

"Options/Preferences.../Other/Default Cash Account"

Did you make your buy/sell transaction entries when this assignment was
present? Making the assignment doesn't cause previously entered transactions
to go into the cash account retroactively.
