: : Mark,
: : I downloaded the Pro 5 version beta into a new drive (E:\fundPRO\fm.exe)than I have my FM 4.x in (F:\fmgr4x\fm.exe), made a copy of all my V4.x data to the new drive (so it wouldn't corrupt my current stuff) and ran Pro 5 beta. It works fine but when I went back and tried to run 4.x it wants to convert the data to the new format.... what's up with that, I thought by installing on a different drive, in a new directory with a new link pointing to the new beta it would leave my old stuff alone? JR

: I figured it out, when I opened V5 Pro and used the File/shortcuts menu it was pointed to the V4 location. I should have opened it up by using the browse function, going to the V5 data directory. It appears to be OK now. JR

Note also that it appears regardless of the number of separate installations of Fund Manager, the preference setting for "Open Last Postfolio at startup" is universal. This is a minor inconvenience for as long as you're evaluating 2 versions simulataneously.

One question though - if I choose "Uninstall Fund Manager" from the group created as part of the Beta install, will it only uninstall the beta and leave the original alone??
