: : : My wife and I have portfolios some of them contain same stocks. For instance I own Ericson in my retirement in my non my non retirment brokerage account as well my wife owns some in her retirment account.
: : : Every time I want to check my own portfolio's value I also find the shares of my wife reflected in there. How can I correct this?

: : Franz - Create multiple .dat files and link each to the fund/stock symbol in question. For example, if you have several portfolios with the fund JAGTX, create and save separate files such as JAGTX1.dat, JAGTX2.dat, etc., each of which is linked to the symbol JAGTX.

: The problem with that is then they do not update properly electronically. I can't remember to update manually or do I have the time. Time is what it is all about.

Hi Glenn,
As long as you enter the correct symbol the investments should all still
update properly when doing an internet retrieve. It doesn't matter what
the filename is, just the recorded symbol. By default, when you create a
new investment, FM fills in the filename with the symbol, and then .dat.
You can change this when creating the investment.

Thanks,
Mark
