: Mark: I'm in no way criticizing your program. I think it is a great product and a beneficial use of the internet.

: I am simply wondering if you have ever been challenged by the web content providers over the use of your technology.

: Rob

:
: : I've noticed there has been a lot of attention in the news lately about the legality of crawler technology.

: : eBay is suing Bidders Edge saying their crawler software is 'trespassing'.

: : "They're essentially engaging in cyber-trespassing," said Kevin Pursglove, an eBay spokesman. "They are trespassing on our site and the information is being gathered illegally."

: : My question is this. Is it legal for this software to automatically retrieve market data from the various web servers out there without permission?

: : When this goes to trial it will be a landmark case.

Hi Rob,
No, we have never been challenged or asked to stop supporting any
of the quote servers.

Thanks,
Mark
