: : : : I have a need to retrieve my quotes from multiple servers. it would be convienient to be able to retrieve from multiple servers in one transaction.
: : : : This is my wish.

: : : Hi Alfred,
: : : Thanks for the suggestion, I can understand this. You can however use
: : : portfolios to remember your quote server, so you could set up one portfolio
: : : for each quote server you need to use.

: : : Thanks,

: : Mark... This was a previous request of mine as well, (radio buttons)...remember? Now there are at least two of us
: : :-)

: : Also the password function 'again'? If someone continuously enters the wrong password (usually a case error) it keeps droping investments from the stack.
: : This requires a rebuilding of the portfolio, which is a major pain. Been there done that several times... I
: : now have a 'complete' backup including the portfolios, not just the investments. I
: : think there is room for improvement here, or at least an autoback up which includes the portfolios (not just the investments)

: : Cheers,
: : Ian

: Hi Ian,
: When opening a portfolio and you mis-type the password, just don't save
: the portfolio when closing. Your investments will remain in the portfolio
: as long as you don't save it that way. You might be getting caught by the
: "Options/Save Portfolio on Exit" option. You might want to turn this off
: if you are having this trouble. Remember to save your portfolio after turning
: this option off, as the state of this option is saved in the portfolio.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Mark... yes this works, however I'm still wishing for the simple 'Quicken like' PW function. There is no way to mess up your data with a improperly typed PW, no matter how you have the program configured.

My problem here is that I'm away for a couple of weeks at a time... I leave with everything all set for auto-updating etc. (one server now thanx to Canada Stockwatch).... then I come home to a 'less than favourable' MESS! Kids, computers, and the FM PW function = 1 frustrated user (occasionally)!
