This dialog is available by pressing the "Configure..." button from within the Alert Options Dialog.
Fund Manager can send e-mail by either using your installed default mail client, or it can send the mail itself directly to your SMTP mail server. When using your default mail client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, America Online, or Netscape) it must be MAPI compatible. Choose one of the following e-mail configurations:
|
Use MAPI Client for Sending E-Mail |
Fund Manager will use your default mail client for sending e-mail. |
|
Send Directly to Mail Server |
Fund Manager will send the e-mail alert directly to your SMTP mail server. |
MAPI Options: If your MAPI e-mail program uses an e-mail profile, specify the profile name and password here. If you do not need to specify a profile name simply leave these fields empty.
Use the "Test" button from the Alert Options Dialog to verify these values are set appropriately.
Comments for AOL/Netscape Users:
Some versions of AOL/Netscape do not interpret the MAPI address field correctly. When this happens you will see a “SMTP:” at the beginning of the e-mail address. To fix this you can turn on the option “My MAPI Client is Netscape or AOL”. This will change the way Fund Manager sends the address field, so the “SMTP:” will not be in the e-mail address.
