This dialog is available from the Edit / Filter Settings.... menu command under any Report window.
A report can be filtered when it is listing by investment.

Select how to filter the report. The following choices
are available:

Once a filtering method is selected, you will be presented with a choice of all available items for that filtering type. Only investments matching the selected criteria will be displayed in the report.
Investment Transaction reports also have the the following options:

Other Filters: |

Exclude Transactions From Cash Investments |
If this option is checked, no transactions from cash type investments will be displayed. This may be useful when you only want to see transactions in regular investments, but not the corresponding default cash account debit/credit. |

Exclude Transactions From Tax Free Investments |
If this option is checked, no transactions from tax free investments will be displayed. |
|
Include Only Portfolio External Transactions |
Only transactions that are considered as external to the portfolio will be displayed. This includes contributions, withdrawals, and withdrawn distributions. See External Cash Flow. |

Include Only Transactions With Memo Contents: |
Specify certain memo text to search for. Only transactions that have a memo field containing the specified text will be displayed in the report. The memo search is case insensitive. |

Check the transaction types to include in the report. |
