Track Portfolio Growth vs New Funding

I'd like to create a report to track Portfolio Growth separately from new contributions/fundings/monies added to the portfolio over a period of time. Can you pls let me know how to do this? Thanks.

Hi cricketbunty,

I'm not really sure how to answer this question... This is available in the "Gain" fields, and also reflected in your ROI yields. Are you looking for something other than these fields? If not, you can use a "Portfolio Performance" report to see this information.

If this isn't what you're looking for, please try to explain what you want calculated, and how you'd like to see it calculated. This might help me provide a better answer.

I will try to explain what I was looking to do...

So if I was to pick a 5 year period, I was trying to create a report which would show:

Opening Portfolio balance for the year/period
Contributions for the year/period
Withdrawls for the year/period
Realized Gains/losses for the year/period
Unrealized Gains/losses for the year/period (essentially change in value)
Closing Portfolio balance at the end of the year/period

for multiple periods in a tabular format. Hope this clarifies. Thanks.

Hi cricketbunty,

You can create a "Custom" report with all of these fields. All those fields are available in a Custom report. You can have up to 6 date ranges in a single report, so you can create it for any 6 periods you want.
