Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.
by Paul » Mon Apr 29, 2013 8:21 am
I'd like to add some fields to an existing memorized report, but I can't find an option to either update the existing definition or rename it. Lacking either of these options, I must remove the existing report and hope I can remember/find all the items to generate a new report with the same name as the old one. Am I missing something?
Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
Open up the memorized report, make the changes you want, and then use "Edit / Memorize...". In this dialog, under "Save As", change it from the default of "<new memorized report>" to the one you want to replace. Press OK. You have now just replaced that memorized report with the desired new report settings.

Thanks for the quick reply Mark
Maybe I am missing something, but once the report is created how can I go back and modify that report to add another field?
Also is there a way to reorder memorized reports? or create a folders for specific groups of reports?

Hi Paul,
Open up the report, and choose "Edit / Report Settings...". You can change any of the settings, and for a Custom report you can add/remove fields.
Memorized reports are listed alphabetically in the menu, so you could control their order based on the name you assign. You can't group them into folders.

Hi Mark
I have tried opening up a memorized report and then going to "Edit / Report Settings/ Custom, but it only shows fields from another custom report I created. I want to go back to a memorized report and modify it without having to go back and select all of the fields and recreate it from scratch.

Hi Paul,
If you open up the memorized report you want, it should have the custom fields you saved with that memorized report? Just open up that memorized report, that already has most of the fields you want. If you start from that report window, and select "Edit / Report Settings..." it will have the custom fields from that report already filled in.
