Some basic questions about this report. Contributions are defined by what? Withdrawals are defined by what? Withdrawn Distributions are what? Reason for the questions is the acct value is only 26261.54 but the report is showing 43321.79 in contributions and another 43296.18 in withdrawals and 237 in withdrawn Distributions since beginning of the year. Can you clarify or is this a mistake in my data? There has been no distributions this year and just a 16000 contribution.
Hi reddragon,
You can see the documentation on "external cash flow" here: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help ... _flow.html Fund Manager figures out these "external" cash flow transactions automatically based on matching corresponding transactions. For example, if you have a buy of $1,000 of a stock, and a sell of $1,000 cash on the same date, these would be considered internal. If however you just have a $1,000 deposit into cash, this is considered external. One easy way to see all your portfolio external transactions is to create an "Investment Transaction" report, and turn on the "Filter..." setting for showing only portfolio external contributions/withdrawals. This can help you see why you have what you do for external contributions/withdrawals.
