Custom Report - How calculate Days Owned?

I wish to create a "Days Owned" column in a Custom Report.

Reports/Open Lots has it and it is defined in Help as (Report date - open date)

Fair enough, but I cannot find those variables in the Custom Report Settings as listed.

Does anyone know what variables in the Custom Report Settings I need to use?

Hi ThomasK,

In the Open Lots report each line item is a single open lot, so there is a single opening date. In the Custom report you don't list by transaction, you list by investment or some other aggregate, like investment type. There can be multiple opening dates for a given investment, so there is no exact equivalent to days owned from the Open Lots report in the Custom report. You can however make use of these fields:

Date acquired, end (ending)
Date acquired, start (ending)

If you're using a Professional or Advisor version, and want to know the number of days from the date you first bought the shares owned on the ending report date to today, define a new field with the equation:

ENDDAYS()-Acquired_start_end
