Combined Subportfolio Reports

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby LungDoc » Wed Nov 28, 2012 8:54 am

Is there a way to choose to combine several subportfolios into one report. For example, if there were 2 or 3 subportfolios that one would like to look at in the aggregate for portfolio value, asset allocation or rebalance or whatever, how could that be done?

Hi LungDoc,

Any given report can only report on 1 selected sub-portfolio at a time. So, no, you can't do what you're asking. You could however create a new sub-portfolio hierarchy and add in the 2 or 3 sub-portfolios you want. To not affect your current sub-portfolio hierarchy you could use "Link" sub-portfolios, where the 2 or 3 subs are just links to the original sub-portfolio.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Segunmichael,

From within the Portfolio Editor window, create a new sub-portfolio by right mouse clicking on any existing sub-portfolio, and choose "New Sub-Portfolio...". In the "Portfolio Properties" dialog that comes up, press the "Link To..." button on the middle/right side of the dialog, and choose which sub-portfolio you want to link to.
Thanks,
Mark
