Hi Mark,
Transaction Retrieve Module 151 "... improves the Vanguard interface." Please elaborate on what changes, if any, we should see when downloading from Vanguard.
Thanks.

Hi aviator,
In general you shouldn't expect to see any differences. The change that was made was to use an older version of the XML format when communicating with Vanguard's OFX server. Most OFX servers support a 100 or 200 version of the XML format. Fund Manager was previously using 200 with Vanguard, and we reverted it to use the 100 format. The reason for this was that with the 200 format for some reason Vanguard's OFX server would not return transactions for certain 401k/403B accounts, but it would when using the 100 format. I don't know for sure, but suspect this is a bug/quirk in Vanguard's OFX server with the 200 format. Quicken uses the 100 format with Vanguard, so I suspect that is a more tested format on their server. From the end-user's point of view you will not notice any difference unless you happened to previously have a 401k/403b account that you couldn't retrieve.
Hi Mark,
Today I downloaded from Vanguard, the first time since installing Transaction Retrieve Module 151. Could be my imagination but the downloads seemed much faster than previously (that is, the time it takes to connect to Vanguard, retrieve transactions and present the Preview Importing Transactions screen). Same applies to reconciling accounts.
Hi aviator,
Interesting... I wouldn't necessarily have expected a speed increase, but maybe Vanguard's OFX server works faster with the 100 version of XML for some reason.
