name change on investment

Hi Mark,

The name of an investment changed.

If I change the name using investment properties feature, the new name will replace the old name in reports prior to the date of the name change. I want to retain the old name in these reports.

Is there any other way to handle this?

Hi Michael,

You could record a transfer between the old investment and a new investment. You'll end up with 2 investments, one with the old name, and one with the new name, and the shares move from old to new on the date of the name change.
