Prices and graphs not synchronized

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

I entered sales of securities for a few investments on a date in January. Prices for those investments no longer show updates after that date. Yet the graphs are updated. The prices apparently are updated as well because they appear as soon as I remove the sale transactions. Yet they do not show up in "edit all data / prices".
Any clues ????

Hi hvanbeek,

I'm not sure I followed what is happening. Are you saying you see the share price graph of an investment show pricing data, but when you look in the Data Register with the "Prices" data type selected, you don't see the prices? This is the right place to look for all recorded prices, and should be in there if you're looking at the same investment being graphed.

One potential source of confusion could happen if you are sorting the pricing data in the Data Register by some column other than Date. Click on the "Date" column header to sort the list by Date.

Mark, thanks for your response. You solved the problem in part. You understood correctly and resorting it on date fixed the listing of prices. However, the data did not appear to have been sorted on any other column. I could not reproduce the limited price listing by sorting on any other column. The problem was apparently caused by the sale transaction since in all investments the last prices shown were the ones of the day prior to the sale date.

Hi hvanbeek,

I'd guess that you may have been sorting by "Shares" or "Value" before, as this will put all the prices before your purchase at the top or bottom (depending on ascending/descending sorting).

It sounds like everything is working as expected now though. Let us know if you have any remaining issues/questions.
