Portfolio Total Return

Hi Mark

I am using FM 14. I am trying to create a custom report that will calculate "Total Return" but not having getting the results I would like. I am wanting the program to take total OOP including any other money distributed to the cash account (dividends etc) - End Value of portfolio = Gain

The only posting I have found that is similar to what I am looking for is Distributions v income distributed.

As a side note the program is awesome.

Hi Paul,

The best metric of total return is "ROI Yield". This is a time and money weighted performance figure. There are many of these fields available in the Custom report, for different time periods. You can read all about ROI yields in the online documentation here:
