Downloading dividend reinvestments

For some reason some dividends that are reinvested do not download the reinvestment, and only show dividend received in the cash account. I have to manually change the transaction to a reinvestment. Only does this for a couple of securities from Fidelity.

Do you maybe see a separate "purchase" and "dividend" in the fund/stock? If you're only seeing a dividend, then somehow that is how it is being reported. You can take a look in the log file, to see the raw data being reported by Fidelity. See the "xmldump.txt" log file in the hidden folder here:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Fund Manager

Fidelity reports it as a dividend received and and dividend reinvested. I bring this up because numerous other identical transactions are handled correctly from Fidelity and other brokers and only couple of them from Fidelity do not. Thanks

So, you are seeing 2 distributions recorded for a single reinvestment, one distributed, and another reinvested? Is it possible you retrieved multiple times, and changed the advanced import option "Record Matching Purchase/Distribution as Reinvestment" in between these multiple retrieves?
