Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby jgdickens » Mon Dec 09, 2013 12:19 pm

Somehow my Investment (.dat) files are getting saved to a Read-Only folder and I'm having trouble permanently changing the folder properties to remove the restriction. Is there some way to direct the .dat files to another folder that I create? I'm not seeing that in the File or Edit options. Is there some way to move the existing .dat files to a friendlier folder? Portfolio (.mm4) file is OK.
Thanks

Hi jgdickens,

Yes, you can use "File / File Operations / Set Data Location..." to move everything to a folder of your choice.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark- I have an older version (9.6) that doesn't have a file option for "Set data location" under File Operations. Assume that comes in a newer version?

Yes, that feature was added as of 12.0.
