I have the pro version, so I have the ability to use the yahoo real time to update prices. When I compare the updated prices though to the live feeds I have in thomson and bloomberg it seems that the prices are semi-delayed, not 15 minutes like the regular yahoo, but a few minutes. I have a subscription to yahoo real time quotes (i can log into finance.yahoo.com and get live quotes), is there anyway to hook into that data source? thanks
Hi gerhardps,
Unfortunately, the "Yahoo (Realtime)" quote server used by Fund Manager is no longer really real-time. We've had to de-feature this until we can find a replacement. Unfortunately, you cannot substitute your own quote server, you can only choose from the list in Fund Manager. We are considering adding support to the subscription based real-time quotes on Yahoo for the next major update.
Hello jkheycke,
The "Yahoo (Realtime)" quote server is back/available. It does not require a subscription, it uses the free real-time quotes on Yahoo. For example, if you go to Yahoo, and look up the regular quote, you are getting the one here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=INTC If you click on the "Real-Time" like on the left, then you are going here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ecn?s=INTC This one is the one accessed when you use the "Yahoo (Realtime)" server in Fund Manager.
