What is the symbol to use to download daily closing prices for the Dow Jones Industrials? Is there a list of symbols for all of the indexes somewhere? Thanks. -Bob

Hi Bob,

The symbol to use can change, depending on what quote server you're using. Assuming you're using the default server of Yahoo, the symbol for the Dow is:

^DJI

To look up symbols, use your web browser, and go to the quote server you're using. For example, Yahoo is at:

http://finance.yahoo.com
