Yahoo - Historical not updating

It goes thru the motions but fails to update. Status says 'working'.

Hi dellwo,

I just test retrieved VBTLX using Yahoo (Historical), and it retrieved a price for 11/16/15 okay. Since you were retrieving for a Sunday and Monday, the Monday price might not have been available yet. Mutual fund quotes can be delayed, and even the Yahoo (Historical) server itself can be delayed over just the regular Yahoo server. If you don't get a price from Yahoo (Historical), use your web browser to go look on Yahoo and see if they offer your quotes yet. You might just need to wait for them to become available.

It didn't matter how far back I went. Never been an issue before (and I do it a lot). It's working now, so hopefully just a glitch.

Yahoo Historical is no longer updating. This occurred since updating to the latest Fund Manager version. Tried yesterdays date as well as other previous dates. Servers are working.

It is working from here when I just now tested it.

Do you get any error message?

How are you confirming it isn't working?

Can you give me a sample symbol and date range request that isn't working?

What quote module version are you using? See "Help / About...".

Hi Mark,
I just tried again (11/18 9:30 PM) and it worked again. To answer your questions:
No error messages, just no updates
Confirmed by checking Prices for various symbols as well as extending graph ending date
Date range for all graphs was Year to date
Quote module is 491

Yahoo historical didn't work last night... then worked during the day (Nov 18)... then doesn't work tonight (9:30 PST). No error messages... just no price updates. It's as if prices are not updated on the server (until a later time?).

Hi joeschreiber,

It may take a while for the most recent prices to be available on Yahoo (Historical). They don't get updated as quickly as if you use the regular Yahoo server. If you're judging it working/not working based on the most recent price, then go look with your web browser on Yahoo when it is not working. Look up the quote, and then click the "Historical Prices" link on the left menu to see if they are showing a quote for the most recent date.

If you're still having troubles, please let me know what symbol and date you're requesting a price for.
