Porfolio total greater than the sum of the parts

I have 3 sub-portfolio in a custom report which shows secuirty. position, purchase price, cost, current quote, current value. All items import correctly as to current quote and calculates correct current value, However, on one of the sub portfolio's the total shown is greater than the sum of the individual current value for each security.

Please try turning on "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" and seeing if that doesn't explain why the sum is larger.

on or off on hidden invesments/portfolio has no affect total

The total will not change with this option, but is there maybe some additional investments that show up when you turn on that option? Also, double check there isn't a vertical scroll bar. Maybe you need to scroll to see other investments? If you have "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" turned on, then the sum of all the line items should add up to the total.

On closer explanation of the hidden investments the problem appeared. I had sold a security a few months ago. I then repurchased it this month as a new investment ( using caps to set it up as opposed to the previous position which was set up in lower case). Hence the position was reported twice in the database when hidden investments were exposed.
