No price in period measured

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby fundman247 » Mon Nov 10, 2014 9:11 am

Hi Mark,

I wonder if it would not be possible to display NA or a * or -- when the instrument does not have a starting price in the time frame measured.

Please refer to the 5 and 10 year change in price in the report below. Although I have marked the 5 and 10 year columns some don't even have a 3 year history.

It would not always be possible to see it purely looking at the return value. Only because I know these instruments I can see the 5 and 10 year value is not correct.

Regards.

Hi fundman247,

Thanks for the feedback. We could make these sort of fields subject to the same rules used for yields under "Yield Interpolation Range". Currently, this %Gain-F field will always interpolate a price.
Thanks,
Mark
