Report Subtotals some investments, others are not

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby fmassard » Thu Sep 18, 2014 3:39 pm

As you can see in my report, i have generated a report with a filter of a certain symbol only and subtotals for them. When the report is displayed, the Contributions for a an account LML is not totalized. Why is this happenenig? Totals at the end of the report are also lacking this same amount.

Thanks for the help.

Hi fmassard,

The "Contributions" value is specific to each line item, it doesn't necessarily sum. These are external contributions to that line item. So, in the case of a sub-portfolio, only external contributions are part of "Contributions". If you buy some stock with cash in that sub-portfolio, it wasn't external to the sub-portfolio, and won't be considered a contribution at the sub-portfolio level, although it would be a contribution at the stock level. For more on this, see:

Thanks,
