Security Transfer

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Mark

I transferred/deposited some shares into my account.
It calculated the OPP cost correctly but the tax basis was wrong due to currency.
I manually corrected the tax basis.
I then sold 1200 shares over a week period.
Unfortunately, the gain does not show up in the Capital Gains Report.

Any ideas?

Error was when I transferred the shares, the security TYPE got listed as CASH instead of STOCK. Thus it did not show up as a gain.

Thanks

Hi rdg,

This makes sense. Just FYI: By default cash type investments are not shown in the Capital Gains report. You can however change this under "Options / Report Preferences... / Capital Gains".
Thanks,
Mark
