I imported all my transactions from my brokerage A. Not all the transactions were at this broker because there was an account transfer involved. So I went in changed the adjustment entry against each investment and updated it with cost basis from my earlier brokerage B.
So I ran into a situation where cash is negative in Fund Manager. I went to the earliest date and made an adjustment entry (purchase of cash), such that cash is now the same as in my brokerage account.
So far so good. But I notice that OOP Historical Gain on cash account is huge. Something is wrong. How do I address this issue - cash is not a gain...
In fact, this is the third time I am trying to setup my data into Fund Manager software. I still have to import my IRA, my wife's IRA and both of those accounts have similar issues. They both had equities moved into Broker A from Broker B. I am downloading transactions from Broker A. So there will be adjustment entries in investments once again.
Can you advise me as to what to do so I can get accurate IRR and portfolio and invesmtnet level return reports?
