User-Defined Fields

Hi Mark - in v 11.x, is there a way with the new user defined fields to have FM selectively pull particular investments into a report based upon specific asset types, investment goals, or types?

Hi fiscalis,

User defined fields cannot help you do this, but report settings may be able to accomplish what you want. You can either sub-total by these items, or filter by them. For example, in a Portfolio Performance report, if you choose to subtotal by Asset Type and list by Investment, all investments of the same asset type will be grouped together, and then a sum for that asset type will be shown.

Alternatively, if you click on "Filter..." you can choose to filter by a variety of things, like Asset Type, so you can have a report that only shows a specified asset type.
