Opening just last report

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby DavidJ » Tue Dec 21, 2010 6:00 pm

I would like to set up FM so that when it starts up, it opens the same report which was open when I last closed FM. Instead, it opens a whole bunch of reports which I have used in the past.

How do I make it open ONLY the most recent.

Thanks.

Hi DavidJ,

Fund Manager portfolios can store and recall your report windows. If you have more than you want, close all but the one you want, and then save your portfolio file. If you have many report windows open, use "Window / Close All Reports". Now, create your desired report, and then do "File / Save Portfolio". Exit, and re-start, and your report should come back.

One common point of confusion with Fund Manager reports is that each time you go to the top level "Reports" menu you are creating a new report window. It can be easy to get many report windows created. You can see them listed under the top level "Window" menu.
Thanks,
Mark
