Hide individual subportfolio in reports

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby Ivan » Mon Dec 13, 2010 4:37 pm

Is there an easy way to temporarily hide one or more subportfolios for report/graphing purposes. This is rarely needed, so I don't want to change my portfolio hierarchy. I could hide all the investments in the subportfolio, but there are quite a few, so I was hoping there was an easier way.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

You can hide a sub-portfolio itself. Edit the properties of the sub-portfolio, and you can mark is as "Hidden". This works just the same as hiding all the investments. Please remember, hiding investments or sub-portfolios just prevents them from being explicitly listed. They are still included in any overall calculations of the higher level sub-portfolios where they are located.

If you want the whole sub-portfolio actually excluded, and not just hidden, you could drag it out of the sub-portfolio using the Portfolio Editor. Drag it back in when you are done.
Thanks,
Mark
