make columns fit and save

HI How can set the columns in reports to fit the date and save the settings or can you add an option to allow the cloumn to expand/contract to fit the data

Hi alan,

Are you talking about reports, or the Portfolio Editor? Reports do auto-size their columns to fit the content by default. Maybe you turned it off? If you're in a report, select "Window / Auto-Size Columns" which should size all the columns to display your content, and no extra white space.

A related option is: "Options / Report Preferences... / General / Auto-Size Columns When Report Data Changes". If this is off, then your column widths just stay where you last set them manually.
