Restore sub portfolio

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi Mark,

I'm trying to find a way to restore just one of the Sub-Portfolios that has been corrupted.

Is there a way to do that? If I restore the Master Portfolio I have to update all the other Sub-Portfolios.

Hi Milli,

You can't do this with the Restore... feature in Fund Manager. You could however do this:

1) Copy your original *.mm4 file to another name, like "Original_file.mm4".
2) Restore the *.mm4 file from your backup. If you don't need the investments restored, only restore the *.mm4 file.
3) Open the restored *.mm4 file, and then use "Edit / Copy" to select the sub-portfolio in question. Open the original copy (Original_file.mm4) and then use "Edit / Paste". You can copy/paste individual sub-portfolios across portfolio files.
4) Use "File / Save Portfolio As..." and resave back to the original name.
Thanks,
Mark
