General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi
Can you let me know how the performance fee is calculated as the capital gains profit reflected show a lower amount once the fee is calculated there is no sub portfolio's. The fixed fee calculations works fine.

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

I did not completely follow your question, but the documentation on how Performance Fees are calculated is shown here:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help ... _prop.html

The Performance fee is an annual % billed against profits above your high water mark. To help see the details of the calculation you can run a "Management Fee" report for the period in question, and then look at "Help / Report Calculation Log...". You might also want to turn on some of the fields for display, like Beginning/Ending High Water Mark. You can do this at "Options / Report Preferences... / Management Fees".

If you are reporting your Account Fees in a non-cash investment, these fees can affect your tax cost basis. Usually the account fees are recorded in a cash type investment that is not included in the Capital Gains report. If you are recording your account fees in an investment that is included in your Capital Gains report, you can control whether or not account fees adjust the basis of investments at "Options / Report Preferences... / Capital Gains / Include Account Fees in Basis".
Thanks,
Mark
