FM "hangs" when editing prices and/ or dates in Data Reg

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi Mark

Occasionally when checking accounts in FM I will "drill down" from a report to the data register for a security in order to edit a price or date. Normally when I do this the data register will refresh pretty quickly and stay open until I hit the "done" button. Recently FM will intermitently close the data register without prompting. I then have trouble reentering the data register by "drilling down" from the report I have open. The program hangs until I close the report and reopen it. Any ideas as to what might be happening?

Hi paulk,

I'm not sure... Are you using the latest version, 12.9? Is there anything you can do in particular to reproduce the problem, or is it random?
Thanks,
Mark

Advisor ver 12.8. No, the problem is sporadic and random.

Hi paulk,

Please try with version 12.9. There was a bug fix in there. I don't think it would relate to this, but it would be good to eliminate as a possibility.

If it continues with 12.9, and you'd like me to try and reproduce it here, you can email me a *.FMB backup file, along with some instructions on how I may be able to reproduce it. If I can reproduce the problem here, then we can fix it.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark

Downloaded the update, still having the issue.

Can you let me know where I can email the backup file to?

Hi paulk,

I've just sent you an email, so you can reply to that with the attachment and some instructions on how I can try to reproduce it here.
Thanks,
Mark
