Moving a Regular Sub-Portfolio

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby bkennedy » Sun Jan 26, 2014 6:23 am

Hi. I would like to Move a Regular Sub-portfolio to another Regular Sub-Portfolio. My Portfolio is setup in the customary manner:

Master Portfolio
Sub-1 Client Name (Regular Sub)
Sub-2 Account Name.(Sub)

I am trying to re-organize my files within the master to create a "Dormant Account" so that I can move former clients to this sub and a "Firm" sub to generate reports firm-wide on just those active clients. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi bkennedy,

You can do this in the Portfolio Editor. Right mouse click on your "Master" portfolio, and create your new sub-portfolios, "Dormant" and "Firm". Then, drag/drop the clients that are currently in "Master" into the desired new sub you just created. To drag/drop, drag something from the right, and drop onto the left. So, select "Master" on the left, so you see "Client 1" on the right. Drag "Client 1" from the right, over onto the left, and drop it onto "Firm" or "Dormant".
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you. That was more obvious than I thought.
